Troubleshooting Creative Golf 3D and Golfisimo

Although issues with 3rd party software is uncommon, the article below details several steps you can take to ensure functionality of your SkyTrak Launch Monitor with Creative Golf 3D, should you encounter any difficulties.

 

To decrease the risk of technical issues, and to ensure you have the latest features, it is recommended to keep your Creative Golf 3D application up to date.  To accomplish this, select the Settings button from the Creative Golf 3D application and then click "Update Version" to check for updates.
 


Golfisimo/Creative Golf 3D will not update:

  • Run the application as an administrator


Cannot connect your SkyTrak Launch Monitor, or your SkyTrak is not detected by the game:

  • Completely close Creative Golf 3D and verify connectivity with the SkyTrak Application.
  • Once connected in the SkyTrak Application, close it and relaunch Creative Golf 3D.

SkyTrak is not detecting shots in Creative Golf 3D:

  • Creative Golf 3D will automatically ignore poor or errored shots, such as topping the ball or hitting a hosel rocket.
  • Close Creative Golf and test several shots in the SkyTrak application.  If you continue missing shots within the SkyTrak application, please see our article on Troubleshooting Shot Registration.

 

Putts are not registering accurately

Enable "Force Straight" or "Rotate Camera to show Ideal Putt". With these settings direction will be set by the game and only speed will be used to calculate the shot.

 

Connection keeps dropping during play:

  • Ensure a strong enough Wireless signal in your area of play.  Too low of signal can cause loss in the data required to simulate your shot.
  • Use a router or signal booster as close to your hitting area as possible to ensure a strong connection with little chance of interference.
  • Click the icon "NOT CONNECTED!" to open the connections dialogue and reconnect the device.

 

For the best results Create Golf 3d recommends a USB Cable connection.

 

License is not verifying:

  • Creative Golf requires a one time connection to the internet to activate your license.
  • Verify your license by clicking Settings button, and selecting SkyTrak Info. This will show your device and license information.

 

Game is running slowly or choppy:

When launched for the first time, Creative Golf 3D will automatically open a setup window with default graphic options.  To access these options again, open the Settings menu in the application and click Graphics.

  • Ensure graphics settings are appropriate for your device.  You may attempt to lower them further than necessary to test their effect during play.
  • Ensure Creative Golf 3d is the only application running on your device.  Other applications may compete for resources or processing priority.

 

System Error - Missing OpenAL32.dll

  • Navigate to "Add or Remove Programs" from the Windows button.
  • Find and uninstall "OpenAL"
  • Reboot your PC
  • Install OpenAL
